Alex Burr is an Emmy-nominated wildlife and natural history producer and director based in Vancouver, BC. Alex started his career in factual programming before spending the last decade in natural history and wildlife filmmaking. Rugged environments, complicated logistics, true collaboration, and meaningful storytelling is what makes Alex tick. Nominated for an Emmy for his directing work on Netflix’s Island of the Sea Wolves (2022), Alex has been a part of multiple award-winning productions including Grasslands: A Hidden Wilderness (2020) (Jackson Wild World Wildlife Day Winner) and The Wild Canadian Year (2017) (Canadian Screen Awards Best Science and Nature Program).
